AnveeRa Tech was conceptualized by -Dr. Vasanti Purohit ,a PhD in agricultural extension. She has been working in the field of agriculture for last 28 years! Our lemongrass project started out when we were working with sugarcane and grape growers in districts of Maharashtra. The soils in these villages were highly eroded and the livelihood of this farming community had almost come to a standstill as nothing would grow there.
Dr Purohit knew exactly what to do to get their lands back in shape so she exposed these farmers to the concept of growing lemon grass and other essential oil plants like clary sage, palmarosa & vetiver in these areas.
2 districts of Maharashtra were adopted for this pilot project 7 years ago. The plan was to take 5 acres from each farmer for soil reclamation. Soil testing was done every year to gauge the improvement in fertility of these soils. After 3-5 years the reclaimed lands were put back into cultivation of higher value crops like grapes. These essential oil grasses get cut for distillation every 45 days.
AnveeRa has a 100% buyback policy where all the oil that has been distilled is purchased back from the farmer at a premium price. It isn’t any surprise that many farmers continue to grow essential oil crops for AnveeRa even after their soils are reclaimed. It is a lucrative business for them with very little or no investment on their part.
All the work-force at AnveeRa are girls from these rural farming communities. It is satisfying to note that these girls who came to us years ago, with a set of clothes, a fire in them and nothing else, now are independent young ladies who have their own two wheelers and their own flats. Kudos to them.
What started out as a small project in an even smaller non-descript town of Margasani, Maharashtra, has now grown to work with several farmers and has expanded to more farmers in Gorantla, AP.
The 2 mandates that AnVeera had set out with were fulfilled in a matter of 3 years and the Project continues even after its inception 7 years ago.

· Enterprise Creation by harnessing the skills and expertise of local farmers to grow certain crops and using the talent of that community to make value added products.
Simply love the Aromed floor cleaner. It leaves my floor and home smelling like a spa thanks to the essential oil infused with lemongrass. The best compliment I received was from a friend who said you have a dog yet your home doesn’t have that dog smell. Aromeds is fresh, natural and it also cleans bathrooms and kitchen counters. I have also noticed a significant reduction of mosquitos. I also feel good about the fact that we are in a small way helping our farmers. Awesome job!!

If anyone is looking for an effective mosquito repellant, do try Aromeds Natural Repellant. We have been using it for a while now and are yet to find anything more effective...also like the pleasant and organic smell of the product ..Sincerely recommend it.
+1. Also Aromeds floor cleaner worked for cockroaches too. As suggested, started putting few drops around drains in night.
